EKoREK Entwicklung eines Konzeptes zur Reduktion der Energiekosten bei energieintensiven KMU am Beispiel von Druckguss

Goal

To develop an innovative concept for reducing energy costs in energy-intensive companies.

Motivation: Energy-intensive SMEs are currently facing many challenges that pose a particular threat to their competitiveness. Reducing energy costs is particularly relevant in this context. This can be achieved, for example, by reducing peak loads or using self-generated energy. In addition, the current legal framework may allow dynamic electricity tariffs or the marketing of flexibility to grid operators.

Technologies: Energy meters enable process data to be recorded in a local database system. Further evaluation of this information allows models of the machinery to be created and simulations to be carried out, which, with the help of scientific optimization software, enable the development of operating concepts that can reduce the overall energy costs of the system. In addition, aspects such as ecological optimization are being tested.
