Diversity and equality are part of our culture and our mission statement. OFFIS contributes to solving the challenges of an interconnected world in a fact-based manner and in peaceful, international, democratic cooperation. All employees are committed to ensuring that people are not disadvantaged or defamed because of their skin color, origin, religion, gender, sexual orientation or impairments. The legal basis for this is the General Equal Treatment Act (AGG). OFFIS explicitly promotes equal rights and inclusion of all people. Discrimination, mobbing, bullying, exclusion and sexual harassment have no place with us!
The promotion of equal opportunities in research and innovation is an important concern that OFFIS explicitly supports. As part of our board initiative "25 in 25", we have already been implementing a variety of measures in the area of gender equality since 2020, including the goal of permanently and sustainably increasing the proportion of women in the institute across all hierarchical levels.
The topic of diversity runs through our daily work throughout the institute. Our teams are international and multidisciplinary, and they thus bring a wealth of facets, languages and cultures to the table. This diversity enhances our creativity and elevates our scientific discourse to a higher level!
The "Gender Equality Plan", which provides an overview of our activities, can be accessed here. It provides an overview of the status quo, goals and measures to promote professional equality of opportunity at OFFIS and is a living document that is subjected to an effectiveness review at regular intervals and adapted as needed.
