Health Services Research Information and data on health treatment processes, specific treatments, diseases and the individual´s perception of health as well as medical conditions do not only support health care for the individual but, as a collection of data, also contribute to gathering and verifying existing knowledge on how to improve health care for the general public within the scope of health services research.
The design and use of information and data collections derived from the context of treatment as well as special captures, such as registers or including patient-related data require information systems which fulfil the required national and international demands for data security, data protection and other standards (medical documentation principles, Good Clinical Practice), as well as statistical and biometric methods for appropriate analysis and interpretation. The group aims to develop methods and tools to efficiently integrate and evaluate health relevant data for health services research.
