Research and Innovation Transfer The Research and Innovation Transfer group builds bridges between research and practice. We bring the latest findings and technologies in energy informatics to industrial applications – in a practical, understandable and useful way. As an interface between science and industry, we support companies in their digital transformation with individual consulting, tailor-made development projects and strategic technology transfer. Our goal is not only to research innovations, but also to turn them into reality – for a sustainable and digitally sovereign energy industry.

Trend scouting

Thanks to our close ties to the interdisciplinary research groups at OFFIS, we always have our finger on the pulse of the latest developments in computer science. We identify relevant technological, methodological and market-related trends at an early stage – from generative AI and digital twins to digital sovereignty. We prepare these findings in an understandable way and evaluate them in terms of their potential for industrial applications. In this way, we provide orientation in the technology jungle and enable well-founded innovation decisions.

We help you understand this technology, identify areas of application and develop viable application strategies for your company – in a clear, application-oriented manner and without hype.

Digitalisation consulting

We provide individual advice to companies on identifying, evaluating and planning digitalisation measures. Together, we analyse existing processes, identify potential and develop practical strategies to increase efficiency, promote innovation and ensure long-term competitiveness. Research cooperation

Do you already have an R&D department and want to strategically expand it with external, neutral scientific expertise? In our research cooperations, we work closely with companies on an equal footing over several years to jointly develop application-oriented innovations. We contribute the latest scientific knowledge and methodological and technological expertise, creating a solid link between industrial issues and cutting-edge academic research.
