In the Medolution project we are pursuing ambitious goals: reduced costs for the health system and at the same time improved quality of life for patients. To this end, "intelligent" environments are being developed that combine professional medical information with user-generated data. The new and relevant information obtained in this way supports patients and doctors in making decisions on diagnoses, therapies and further monitoring from reaction to prevention. The technical challenges are the handling of huge heterogeneous data sets and data sources, the integration and combination of these data and the extraction of new relevant information. At the same time, the safety and reliability of the devices in the patient's home environment must be ensured. We address these challenges by implementing big data concepts and analyses in the cloud. These lead to:

• Early and proactive decision support for patients and physicians in the form of early warnings and notifications
• The ability to generate health-related predictions based on continuous trend analyses.
• The possibility of exchanging health-relevant information between devices and persons.

We will be happy to demonstrate these new possibilities on the joint Lower Saxony stand in Hall 16 - Stand D18 - using the example of an artificial heart!
