PhD Position (m/f/d) – Social Interaction in Mixed Reality
Join the DFG-funded research project SPASS and investigate how Mixed Reality can transform social interaction. You will develop novel concepts for Social Presence in Mixed Reality and publish your research in an international scientific environment.
DAS MACHEN SIE MÖGLICH:
Conduct research on novel concepts for social interaction and Social Presence in Mixed Reality.
Design, develop, and evaluate research prototypes in the fields of Human-Computer Interaction and Mixed Reality.
Plan, conduct, and analyze empirical user studies using rigorous scientific methods.
Publish your research at leading international conferences and in high-impact scientific journals, and present your work to the international research community.
Collaborate in an interdisciplinary research team with national and international project partners.
DAS BRINGEN SIE MIT:
An excellent Master's degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Media Informatics, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related discipline.
A strong interest in research in Human-Computer Interaction, Mixed Reality, and Extended Reality.
Experience in at least one of the following areas: - Mixed Reality (MR), Virtual Reality (VR), or Augmented Reality (AR) - Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) or User Experience (UX) - Development of interactive systems (e.g., using Unity and C#) - Empirical user studies and data analysis
Excellent written and spoken English, with the motivation to publish research results at international conferences and in peer-reviewed journals.
A structured and independent working style, strong teamwork skills, and enthusiasm for interdisciplinary research.
