In the following we would like to inform you how we process the personal data collected during your registration. If you would like information about what data is collected when you visit our website, please see:
https://www.offis.de/en/privacy.html
The controller responsible for the described data collection and processing is OFFIS e. V., Escherweg 2, 26121 Oldenburg/Germany.
When you register for your desired event, we collect and process your business contact data. The information marked with an asterisk (*) is mandatory. It is not possible to register without providing this information. This data is required for the purpose of fulfilling the contract. The data is processed in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b DSGVO.
In addition, we use your name to create a name tag to facilitate contact with other event participants. You can wear this name tag at the event, but you are not obliged to do so. The legal basis for data processing is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSGVO.
If you do not want a name tag to be created for you, you have the right to object to this data processing. Please let us know your objection separately (e.g. in the comment field when registering or by e-mail at a later date). You can find out more under the following point "Rights of the data subject".
Data that are not marked with an asterisk (*) will only be collected on the basis of your voluntary consent pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a DSGVO. The failure to provide this data has no negative consequences for my registration for the event of my choice.
In concrete terms, these data are initially your title, your company and your department. You can choose which information you want to provide or not. We use this data exclusively for registration confirmation, invoicing and for the creation of the name tag, the use of which is not obligatory.
Furthermore, we ask you for any dietary restrictions. If you make a statement here and the event includes catering, we will endeavour to take this into account.
Your consent can be revoked at any time without affecting the legality of the processing that has taken place so far. If the consent is revoked, we will stop the corresponding data processing.
We only transfer your data to third parties, e.g. to credit institutions for payment processing, insofar as there is a data protection authority (e.g. in accordance with the above-mentioned legal provisions).
We may also pass on your data to external service providers, e.g. IT service providers, companies that destroy or archive data, printing service providers, who support us in data processing as part of order processing in accordance with strict instructions.
Data processing does not take place outside the EU or the EEA.
We will neither sell your personal data to third parties nor market it in any other way.
The data required to fulfil the contract will be deleted no later than six months after termination of the contract and will only be held available for any queries. However, the data will not be deleted as long as receivables are still open and are to be collected. If legal retention periods exist, the data concerned will be archived for the duration of these periods.
Data subjects have the right to obtain information from the data controller about personal data concerning them and to have inaccurate data corrected or deleted if one of the reasons stated in Art. 17 DSGVO applies, e.g. if the data are no longer required for the purposes pursued. Furthermore, there is a right to limitation of processing if one of the conditions specified in Art. 18 DSGVO applies and in the cases of Art. 20 DSGVO the right to data transferability. If data are collected on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. e (data processing for the fulfilment of official tasks or for the protection of the public interest) or lit. f (data processing for the protection of legitimate interests), the data subject is entitled to object to the processing at any time for reasons arising from his particular situation. We will then no longer process the personal data unless there are demonstrably compelling reasons worthy of protection for the processing which outweigh the interests, rights and freedoms of the data subject, or the processing serves to assert, exercise or defend legal claims. Please address your objection to: OFFIS e.V., Escherweg 2, 26121 Oldenburg, Phone: +49 (0) 441 9722 107, Fax: +49 (0) 441 9722 102, E-Mail: event(at)offis.de.
Any data subject has the right of appeal to a supervisory authority if he or she considers that the processing of data concerning him or her is in breach of data protection legislation. The right of appeal may be exercised in particular before a supervisory authority in the Member State of residence of the person concerned or the place where the alleged infringement occurred. In Lower Saxony, the responsible supervisory authority is the State Commissioner for Data Protection of Lower Saxony, Barbara Thiel, P.O. Box 2 21, 30002 Hanover, Germany.
