IDiNA Intelligente Digitalisierung der Energieversorgung zur Optimierung des Netzbetriebs und zur Erhöhung der Akzeptanz

Motivation

Information is the central driver of digitalisation and thus represents a new currency in today's world. Therefore, the main objective of this project is to analyse the value and cost of information as well as its use, taking into account individual security thinking in the context of the energy transition. For this purpose, the project is divided into the three innovation strands: creation of an integrative data and execution platform; application development and profitability assessment; and regulatory framework for the acceptance of third-party use of personal data.

Goal

OFFIS addresses the first two innovation strands (creation of an integrative validation platform & application development and viability evaluation) within the overall project and pursues two core goals therein:

  1. Research and evaluation of software technologies for data acquisition and processing of data from the low-voltage grid by an independent market actor. For this purpose, a system demonstrator for external market actors (EMTS) will be set up to help validate the feasibility of new data-driven business models in a highly regulated and safety-critical environment. The demonstrator will be used to investigate how data ownership principles can ensure the privacy-compliant implementation of data-driven business models.
  2. Systemic modelling and knowledge documentation using IEC 62559 and SGAM (Smart Grid Architecture Model) as well as the creation of a cost-benefit model for various Smart Grid technologies. Progress in this project is expected above all through the special consideration of the IT security aspect of the distributed architecture, as well as the creation of an associated cost-benefit model, which could be integrated into the validation platform.
