We adapt the method of finger counting for interactive multi-touch tabletops to enter numbers using the 10 fingers of the hands. In our approach, we recognize the number of fingers simultaneously touching the screen and interpret them as digits from 0 to 9, making it possible to represent any number of the decimal system. Our technique works independent from the location and orientation of users at the tabletop and does not occlude screen space, rendering it an interesting alternative to commonly used approaches for numerical input on touchscreens, such as virtual keyboards and handwriting recognition systems.} @COMMENTBibtex file generated on
