Biografie
Dr. Domenik Helms ist Leiter des Competence Centers Embedded Systems Design Automation, Leiter der Gruppe Analyse nanometrischer ICs und Principal Scientist im OFFIS. Als theoretischer Physiker widmete er sich zunächst dem Quanten Hall Effekt. Seit dem Wechsel in die technische Informatik erforscht er die Nebeneffekte aktueller und kommender Transistor-Generationen, wie etwa die Verlustleistung, Herstellungsvariationen, Temperatureffekte, und Alterung.

2009 hat er im Thema „Leakage Models for High Level Power Estimation“ promoviert. Seitdem leitet und koordiniert er europäische und nationale Forschungsprojekte, in denen Entwurfs-Methoden zur Vorhersage von und Optimierung für diese Nebeneffekte erforscht und entwickelt werden.
