SET Level 4to5 Simulationsbasiertes Entwickeln und Testen von Level 4 und 5 Systemen

Motivation

To bring automated or autonomous vehicles onto the road, purely physical tests are not feasible (-> "release trap"). Therefore simulations become an essential tool during the development and validation of such vehicles. Due to the heterogeneous group of users and their different goals, a variety of requirements arise for such a simulation platform. In order to achieve comparability between different vehicle concepts and variants, a generic platform is needed that can meet all these requirements.

 

The goal of the project is to develop simulation-based methods and tools for the development and validation of automated and autonomous driving functions.
