Software Developer (f/m/d) for Research Platform For the next two years and possibly beyond, we are looking for dedicated support at our Oldenburg site for our Research and Development division Energy.

Energy system research is elementary to understand the current energy system and to achieve the energy transition. With the national research data infrastructure for interdisciplinary energy system research we want to support researchers in energy system research in various ways. Therefore, we will develop and offer multiple services, such as a map of research institutions, a research data repository, a research software repository, an overview of established methods, and others.

What you enable:

  • You will support architectural decisions around the new development of a digitization platform for energy systems research.
  • You will develop individual services of the platform in a targeted manner and thus also enable the linking of the various services.

What you bring to the table:

  • You have a Master's degree in computer science/business informatics or a computer science-related field.
  • You can program object-oriented in high-level languages (e.g. Python, Java, C#, ...).
  • You like to work your way into existing (open source) software.
  • You are curious and like to learn new topics and technologies independently.
  • You are interested in doing a PhD, independent scientific work, publishing and presenting scientific results, and collaborating with scientific partners.
  • You have a very good knowledge of English (language level B2 or better) for scientific discussions.
