Future energy research needs good simulation tools to deal with complex issues around the energy transition. As group "Co-Simulation of Multimodal Energy Systems", we further develop our open-source co-simulation framework mosaik, which is already widely used in the community. In the context of the national research data infrastructure for interdisciplinary energy system research, we want to make mosaik accessible and usable for further user groups. To this end, we will work with the support and integration of ontologies and rely on distributed and partly cloud-based approaches.
