Innovative applications, such as those resulting from mobile, ambient or ubiquitous computers, demand intelligent operation, interaction and communications concepts. Interactive systems, i.e. systems which interact with humans, are already being used in many different environments such as, in cars, aeroplanes, ships, apartments, in mobile phones or in control rooms. The Human Machine Interaction‘s Competence Center carries out research into design and evaluation methods for intelligent multi-modal human machine systems and bundles OFFIS competences within the design, development, analysis and evaluation of innovative human machine interfaces.
