The design of such hardware poses new challenges on industry and research; They require increased processing speed, energy efficiency, and robustness. Product cycles and the resulting market opportunity are becoming narrower.
Only because of the continuous improvement in the designing process, designing even more complex HW/SW systems is possible at all. Methods are required to simplify and objectify decisions on the design of prototypes and to automate parts of that process.
The Embedded Systems Design Automation´s Competence Center pursues the reseach on and development of new methods and tools for:
This Competence Center links all of OFFIS competences in the design of complex HW/SW-systems and therefore contributes to standardization, in particular to SystemC and AUTOSAR.
