The integration of data from heterogeneous data sources into a data warehouse requires flexible concepts and technologies for efficient data integration and data quality management, e.g. with regard to dealing with qualitative shortcomings of the data such as inconsistencies, redundancy and incompleteness. In addition to data warehouse technologies as the basis for the information logistics infrastructure, technologies of semantic retrieval for obtaining structured information from images, websites and other sources are also included. The G-DMA Group has many years of experience in dealing with basic technologies for building needs-oriented infrastructures in the health sector. In cooperation with the Department of Information Systems at the University of Oldenburg, research is being conducted into how data stream management technologies can be adequately applied to evaluate the increasing amount of data generated by sensors - e.g. in the context of Ambient Assistant Living (AAL). Due to the high data rates and the non-persistent data stream content, the use of classic DBMS and DWH technologies is often impossible. Especially the DQM for data streams or the modeling of DQM requirements for a proactive DQM require new concepts.
