Abstract = {In  this  work,  we  address  the  subject  of  Security-by-Design in Smart Grids. Our approach bases on designing
technologies with the Smart Grid Architecture Model and
existing risk estimation formulas, where we  will  look at
characteristics  to  help  estimating  failure  probabilities.
Afterwards  we  will  discuss  which  way  of  combining
these characteristics and failure probabilities fits best for
a risk estimation and how it can be improved. }
