Although integrating Information and Communication Technology enhances grid flexibility through Cyber-Physical Energy Systems, it also introduces communication network dependencies that require systematic analysis. This paper presents a structured methodology for analyzing MAS behavior under communication network influence and demonstrates its application. Our methodology provides a comprehensive guideline categorizing critical parameters affecting MAS performance. The guideline enables systematic investigation of communication-system interactions across different research contexts and scales. Three exemplary analyses demonstrate the methodology's versatility: field trial preparation for determining optimal system parameters, theoretical scalability investigation under communication constraints, and cyber security assessment during critical operations. Results show that the structured approach successfully identifies critical parameter inter-dependencies often overlooked in ad hoc analyses. The methodology enables informed decision-making about system design and deployment strategies, ensuring systematic evaluation of communication impacts before field implementations.} } @COMMENT{Bibtex file generated on }
